As Rare as Rubies ADJ’s Sleek Inno Pocket Spot Pearl Adds Style and Zing to Every Occasion When we created the compact, yet bright Inno Pocket Spot, we weren’t just aiming for compact power, but a diverse and affordable fixture too. We delivered on our promise, and since the Inno Pocket Spot enjoyed such success, we figured bringing out a version with a beautiful ‘Pearl’ white finish would give ADJ users yet another option for their set-up. The Inno Pocket Spot Pearl is a mini moving-head which uses a powerful 12-watt LED light source, seven colors plus white, and seven fixed GOBOs plus spot to give mobile entertainers, small venues, and lighting designers a range of effects with which to mesmerize audiences of all ages at functions of all types. Just like its sister model, the Inno Pocket Spot Pearl is compact and lightweight, and boasts enough power to create bright beams and incredibly vivid colors for smaller size venues. It’s also easy to transport, and quick to set up and tear down. The only real difference between the original version and the new Pearl model is the casing color. Black fixtures are ideal for dark settings, such as clubs and music venues, but they stick out like sore thumbs in brighter environments or in rooms with lighter color themes. This is where the Inno Pocket Spot Pearl comes into its own. No matter how you plan on using its effects, the smart pearl-white casing will ensure that the fixture itself looks great too. Houses of worship, in particular, can benefit from the new color; with the environment of a church being brighter than that of a nightclub, black fixtures can look out of place or diminish the jubilant atmosphere of a lightened venue. Church décor is often white, so the pearl finish will match the interior design, making the fixtures almost invisible to the eyes of the congregation and providing an atmosphere for worship without the light sources being obvious or distracting. If you’re a lighting installer, you may also enjoy the creative freedom that using white fixtures gives you; if the venue follows a white (or light) color scheme then the pearl finish will look ideal, alternatively you may want the fixtures to stand out, achieving this by contrasting the pearl against a darker background. An act or production that a venue is putting on may also follow a certain color scheme or style for their stage show, for which the pearl fixtures may be more suitable than the black ones. A final area where the Inno Pocket Spot Pearl comes out on top is weddings. The pearly white color is often perfectly suited to the theme and atmosphere of many weddings; it’s more romantic, it looks chic, and in an environment lit with trendy vibrant purples and blues the pearl fixture looks sleek and modern. So, if you’re a wedding DJ or event organizer, the Inno Pocket Spot Pearl is the perfect ‘atmosphere changing’ add-on to offer your clients. But it isn’t just the color of the fixture which makes it a versatile choice of lighting; the effects produced by the unit are just as impressive as the color of its casing. Stunning vibrant effects are achieved using the separate color and GOBO wheels, which make for endless color and pattern combinations – useful for enhancing the atmosphere at roller rinks or bowling alleys, as well as in small bars or clubs, or even houses of worship. We always strive to pack our fixtures full of features, so the Inno Pocket Spot Pearl also offers manual focus, a 13-degree beam angle, GOBO scroll and shake, as well as pulse and strobe effects. Another thing that makes the Inno Pocket Spot Pearl so adaptable is the flexibility in its movement; 530-degree pan and 230-degree tilt allows the moving head to fill a room with effects to create pure lighting excitement for an audience. The pan/tilt inversion mode, ideal for when multiple moving heads are used together in master/slave mode, creates a symmetrical and professional looking lightshow by inverting the movements of the fixtures. Operating the unit in Sound Active mode (one of three operational modes) demonstrates perfectly how the Inno Pocket Spot Pearl’s combination of low-weight and high-density allows it to move smoothly and utilize sharp reactions to both sound and rhythm. Further operational modes are Internal Show and DMX. Using Internal Show mode gives a choice between four built in lighting shows, so that mesmerizing results can be achieved without the hassle of DMX-programming. For easy control over the unit’s features, a highly-convenient IR wireless remote is available as an optional extra. This offers control over strobing, color change and dimming (0-100%) as well as access to the Internal Shows and Sound Active mode. The fixture is also easily DMX linkable as part of a bigger lightshow, via 3-pin XLR cable, with a choice of 9 and 11 channel modes. The 9 channel mode provides control over all of the unit’s features, while the 11 channel mode adds precision 16-bit control over pan and tilt movement. So, if it’s a simple to set up, moving head lighting solution you need, but you want something sleeker, cooler and more impressive than the standard ‘black’ fixture, then look no further than our Inno Pocket Spot Pearl. While it’s both affordable and compact, and housed in our new ‘pearly’ casing, we haven’t made any sacrifices whatsoever with the brightness, adaptability or range of effects that it offers. The Inno Pocket Spot Pearl is scheduled to be released in late August 2014. |
