Monster SeriesA Whiter Shade of Pale?

ADJ’s latest LED par fixtures – the Flat Par TW5 and Flat Par TW12 – boast ultimate ‘dynamic white’ color temperature possibilities and adaptable effects to offer truly diverse solutions.

If there’s one thing LED technology has enabled ADJ to offer you, it’s color. Tri LEDs, Quad LEDs – even Hex LEDs – can be found in a number of our products and the latest additions to our ever-popular range of LED par cans are no different. Both the Flat Par TW5 and the Flat Par TW12 make the most of 5-watt ‘3-in-1’ LEDs, offering three varieties of ‘variable white’ color temperature – Cool White, Warm White, and Amber.

Flat Par TW5
The TW5 is a dynamic white LED flat par fixture which features five of these 5-watt Tri LEDs (rated at 50,000 hours), eliminating color shadows for smooth, seamless color mixing and giving you endless possibilities for your lightshow. With a 40-degree beam angle, the color washes provided by the TW5 are far-reaching, while 0-100% electronic dimming and easily activated LED pulse and strobe effects offer you the ability to dim the unit in certain situations and really get the party going with show-stopping effects when the time comes. This diversity makes the TW5 ideal for mobile DJs, all day wedding hosts (who need fixtures which can adapt to the many situations that an all-day event throws at them) and venues that need a DMX-controllable par fixture as part of a permanent install.

Is the difference in quality really that great though?
With our new Fog Fury Faze, which contains a number of progressive features, we’re offering you a powerful faze machine which creates dense, lasting fog effects, but with all the benefits of being a water-based fluid fixture. With fog machines infamous for being temperamental, we’ve also ensured that the latest exciting addition to our range of fog solutions is reliable, economical and highly-practical.

With seven DMX channel modes and the optional RF wireless remote, control of the fixture can be as complicated or simple as you need it to be, with a 4-button DMX digital display on the rear panel allowing easy mode selection and DMX ins/outs letting you run DMX across multiple TW5s, as seen on earlier ADJ flat par cans. In terms of positioning the fixture, the dual yoke allows it to be hung or set on the ground, letting you wash dance-floors and stages, or uplight venue walls and décor. For mobile entertainers, the TW5 weighs just 6 lbs (2.4kg) and can therefore be easily moved, transported and stored.

Flat Par TW12
Weighing slightly more (7.5 lbs/3.25 kg) and being slightly wider and lengthier in size, the Flat Par TW12 takes many of the same features as its smaller sister model but offers a more powerful overall output of 60-watts; with twelve 5-watt Tri LEDs offering the same variety of Cool White, Warm White, and Amber color temperatures. With a 40-degree beam angle, LED pulse and strobe effects, and 0-100% electronic dimming, the same pulsating effects and incredible wide-reaching washes offered by the TW5 can be used to ‘wow’ your audiences, only with the brighter LED source of the TW12 offering more power.

Again, with the same seven DMX channel modes and the optional RF remote, you can operate the TW12 however you want, creating unbelievable custom color washes. The TW12 also features the dual yoke, allowing you to hang the unit from rafters or truss for stage and dance-floor washes, or position it on the ground for effective uplighting, accentuating truss, décor and other features.

Used as uplighting, these Flat Par fixtures are great for adding atmosphere to dining areas and low-key seating areas in bars and restaurants. But, due to the three key colors offered by the Tri LEDs, the TW5 and TW12 are also ideal for use in houses of worship, where light, inoffensive colors, such as white and amber, can be used to create a calm and almost-heavenly atmosphere for prayer and worship, either through uplighting or stage lighting. With ADJ always being focussed on versatility, the strobe and pulse effects offered by the Flat Par fixtures can also prove useful for churches; for instance, if you put on musical performances or stage productions and wish to appeal to younger worshipers. Both fixtures include a gel frame so that an optional diffusion filter (sold separately) made be inserted to further disperse the wash of light.

In a similar way, the white and amber hues, and varying color temperatures, make the fixtures ideal for weddings, where uplighting can be supplied as an extra source of revenue for all-day hosts and DJs, and dance-floor washes and pulse effect are needed for the evening’s party.

With Tri LEDs, wide beam angles, and DMX-operation, the Flat Par TW5 and TW12 offer unlimited variable white stage washing possibilities, effective uplighting, and practical control – giving you more bang for your buck. No matter what ‘white color’ your event requires, no matter what color temperature you desire, the Flat Par TW5 and TW12 deliver – from golden amber to the palest yellow; from the coolest to the warmest of whites.

The Flat Par TW5 and Flat Par TW12 will be available at the beginning of September from ADJ USA. Coming soon from ADJ Europe.
