ADJ’s Live Learning Takes Mobile Beat 2014 By Storm
 
We are just about recovered from a jam packed three days at the 18th Mobile Beat Las Vegas Convention at the start of this month. Mobile DJs came from across the country to learn, network and let their hair down, and ADJ were there in full force to join the party!

The highlight of this year’s ADJ booth was a spectacular pre-programmed lightshow, from our very own Edgar “DJ Etronik” Bernal, which ran throughout the show. Some of our best and hottest effects were rigged to the ceiling of the booth with trussing from Global Truss America. Five Mirror Balls complemented the effect and made for a stunning show that wowed the crowds!

The booth was crammed full of all of the latest ADJ effects and American Audio playback equipment. A crowd favorite had to be the full line-up of the innovative Inno Spot series, with all four fixtures on display to DJs for the first time. This new series of bright, feature packed LED Moving Heads offers a range of brightness options and features to fit different needs and budgets. They are designed for a wide variety of applications and their size and price point, especially that of the smallest of the series - the Inno Pocket Spot, made them very popular with MBLV18 visitors. Attached to the Inno Spots were DMX controllers so visitors to the booth could get hands on and play with the effects, and see how they actually work.

The ADJ concept of adding seminars onto the Expo floor was a big hit; you could say it was Seminar-ception to perfection! The ADJ Live Learning area was built right into the booth and allowed visitors to sit and listen to mini seminars presented by ADJ staff. Many sessions had standing room only, and it was great to see people hanging out afterwards, chatting to the presenters and trying out the equipment for themselves. Seminar topics included DMX Programming, Different Ideas Using Trussing At Your Gig, and Hyping the Crowd, presented by legendary MC, Sparky B!

Our ADJ sponsored seminar titled ‘Moving Heads: Choosing the Right Fixture for Your Event’ hosted by Arnoldo Offermann took place in the Ballroom, and also proved very popular. Lots of DJs attended the session to learn tips from Arnoldo for adding Pure Lighting Excitement to their own rigs. Offermann said after his seminar “This was a great experience for me to speak to DJs who are in a similar position to where I was three or four years ago – when I didn’t see the need for moving heads at mobile events. I hope now they can see that this versatile, high-end equipment is an affordable option to be offering their clientele.”
