ADJ Photo Contest Official Rules & Terms
General Description: This contest invites DJs to submit photos on Facebook or Instagram of their night out DJing from the DJ's perspective. Photos must use the hashtag “#myofficetonight” to qualify for the contest. Photos may range from (but not limited to) the following: a DJ’s equipment set up, a light show, posing with your equipment, photo with the bride and groom, a shot from behind the DJ console of the guests dancing, or even a selfie while your DJing. DJs are encouraged to be creative.
Photos must represent original work taken by the contestant (or taken of the contestant), and must conform to the decency standards established in the “Exclusions” clause of this document. There is no limit to the amount of photos that a contestant may enter. Photos may be old or new. Winning photos will receive product prizes from companies belonging to the ADJ group. The winning photos will be chosen by a panel of judges from American DJ.

Eligibility: Photos must be posted on Facebook or Instagram and use the hashtag “#myofficetonight” in order to qualify for the contest. The contest is open to all DJs from anywhere in the world. Contestants under 18 must acknowledge that they have received permission from a parent of legal guardian to participate in the contest. Employees of American DJ and its affiliated agencies, as well as their immediate families, are not eligible to participate in this contest. Contestants may submit as many photos as they wish. No purchase is necessary to participate in this contest. The use of American DJ and American Audio products in a photo will not increase a contestant’s chances of winning.
Deadlines: The deadline for the contest is 11:59 PM (23:59) Pacific Time March 31, 2014. No photos submitted after that time shall be considered. Winners will be announced by April 4, 2014 on American DJ’s Facebook and Instagram. The company shall make every reasonable attempt to notify winners to arrange shipment of prizes to them. However, winners that fail to respond to four (4) attempts to notify them shall forfeit their prize.
Prizes: The prizes awarded are as follows:
• FIRST PRIZE: 2x ADJ Inno Pocket Spot LED Moving Heads
• SECOND PRIZE: 1x Monster Beam LED Moonflower Effect
• THIRD PRIZE: 1x Flashback 4 LED Border Can Effect
In the event that any announced prize is not available, American DJ reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value at its discretion. By entering the contest, contestants agree to hold American DJ harmless for any tax liabilities associated with the prizes, for replacement of any prizes that are lost or stolen and from injuries or death that result from using the prize, which are the result of recklessness or negligence on the part of the user.
Judging: All prizes will be judged by a team from at American DJ from photos submitted on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag “#myofficetonight” and posted before 11:59 PM (23:59) Pacific Time March 31, 2014. Winners will be announced by April 4, 2014. The company shall make every reasonable attempt to notify winners to arrange shipment of prizes to them. However, winners that fail to respond to four (4) attempts to notify them shall forfeit their prize.
The judges will look at creativity, originality and story content to make said evaluations. The decision of the judges is absolute and final. Judges shall be under no obligation implicit or explicit to explain their decision.
Submission of Entries: All entries must be submitted on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag “#myofficetonight.” Winners will be contacted on their submitted photo either on Facebook or Instagram.
American DJ and its affiliated agencies bear no responsibility for and shall be held harmless for any photos entries that are removed, lost, garbled or degraded during the course of their submission.
Warrants: By submitting a photo, the contestant warrants that all work contained therein is original and does not violate any copyright or privacy laws. The contest agrees to hold American DJ and its affiliated agencies harmless in the event such laws are violated by a video submitted to this contest by the contestant.
Liabilities: The contestant also agrees to hold American DJ and its affiliated agencies harmless in the event the photo submitted by the contestant results in legal action involving defamation or endangerment laws.
Permissions: By participating in this contest, contestants agree to allow American DJ and its affiliated agencies to use their photos, names and likenesses in advertising, marketing and public relations/promotional material without compensation. The contestants shall hold American DJ and its affiliated agencies harmless against any claims that arise from this use.
Exclusions: All photos submitted must be original work and not violate copyright or privacy laws. All photos must conform to normal and accepted decency standards. Photos that include nudity or explicit sexual material shall be immediately disqualified from consideration. Photos that include lewd, vulgar or offensive actions shall be immediately disqualified from consideration. Photos that include racially or ethnically intimidating actions, violent actions or suggestions of violence shall be immediately disqualified from consideration. Photos that offend viewers on the basis of their sexual orientation shall be immediately disqualified from consideration. Photos that endanger people or animals in any way or perpetrate or suggest violence against any person or animal shall be immediately disqualified from consideration.
Publication of Winners: American DJ will announce the winners on their Facebook page and Instagram account and will publish them in its digital newsletter ADJ NewsWave within a reasonable timeframe. A list of the winners will be made available to anyone contacting the American DJ Marketing Department at (marketing@americandj.com).
